About the Item

MON SCHIO. Two large discs dominate - a mottled gold one above and a saturated ultramarine one below, ringed in crimson - set against a ground that shifts from bronze and oxblood to deep plum. A fine silver crescent arcs over the gold disc, a tapering red spire rises from the lower left, and small blue leaf shapes and a pale pink moon are scattered around the edges. Fine ruled lines and drawn arcs tie the elements together over a heavily speckled, weathered-metal surface. Second in a numbered series; pencil signed, titled and numbered in the bottom margin. Medium: serigraph or lithograph on paper. Signed lower left margin, in pencil, reading "MON SCHIO". Edition: 17/450. Inscribed on the reverse or mount: MON SCHIO; SKY LORE II; 17/450. Condition: Sheet clean and bright, no foxing seen. Reflections on the glass in the angled shots; frame in good order.
