A dreamlike canal view in which the palazzi, boats and bridge blur into vertical smears of violet, pewter and pale blue, as though seen through rain on glass. Only the moored hulls hold their edges. Titled Venice in pencil at the lower left of the mat and signed at the lower right. Wide white mat in a gold moulding. Medium: photographic print, soft focus. Signed lower right of the mount, in pencil. Inscribed on the reverse or mount: Venice, in pencil at the lower left of the mount. Condition: no visible damage.
